In 2001, my neighbor Jack bought a pair of turntables. A few friends from the neighborhood and myself would spend evenings trying our best to mix together songs and scratch like professional DJs. These evenings in Jack’s basement sparked a passion for music and entertainment that I decided to turn into a business. After piecing together a make shift DJ set up, I started spinning at parties or all types. Once I secured a few gigs, I purchased professional equipment and my business soared from there. Upon entering Dartmouth College, I immediately dove into the dance party scene, playing everything from 80s to disco to modern dance charts.

Starting my own business has been a huge learning experience. From marketing and advertising to customer service and public relations, I’ve experienced every aspect of running a successful small business.
